Cheeseburger Crescent Ring

We buy a 1/4 cow just about every year, so we are always looking for ways to use ground beef! This cheeseburger crescent ring is an easy weeknight dinner recipe the whole family enjoys. With a few ingredients you can throw together an easy and delicious dinner.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 chopped onion

  • 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp each of paprika and garlic powder

  • 2 cans of crescent roll dough

  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • Burger Sauce Store Bought or Homemade

(homemade recipe - 1/2 cup mayo, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/8 cup mustard, 1 TBSP sweet relish)

  • Pickles

  • 2 TBSP butter melted

  • Sesame seeds

How to make

To make this cheeseburger crescent ring, start by browning a pound of ground beef in a skillet over medium high heat. Add a chopped onion and the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Drain any extra grease from the meat.

Once the ground beef is browned, remove from the heat and stir in a couple tablespoons of Burger Sauce. You can buy a burger sauce or make a homemade version with simple ingredients you probably already have your fridge! Most of the time I make the homemade version!

Next, open both cans of crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 different rectangles. I like to use a large baking sheet that is covered with parchment paper. Arrange the rectangles of crescent dough to make a ring with the edges slightly overlapping. To do this, I started by using 4 of the rectangles to make a cross leaving an opening in the middle. Then overlapped the other 4 rectangles. Hopefully the photo below will help with this step!

After arranging the crescent dough rectangles, add some cheese on top of the dough around the square opening. Next spoon on all the ground beef mixture, add more cheese, and top with pickles!

To finish making the cheeseburger crescent ring, you will take the edge of the rectangle and fold up and over the ground beef mixture tucking it under. It is perfectly okay if some of the perforated lines pop open just a little bit!

Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and brush that on top of the crescent ring. Sprinkle on some sesame seeds and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Once finished baking, slice into pieces and serve with extra burger sauce.

We keep sides super simple around here, but I served this with some tater tots and green beans. My air fryer potatoes, salad, or some kind of roasted vegetable would also be good!
